Bon Voyage 02:41
If there’s a grand design, mane I’m tryna find it/been searchin’ high and low tryna cope with the times/hopin’ I’m right on, often I’m not, gotta realign/done slipped a few discs, but I’m keepin’ on and on/ain’t no rewind, sometimes can’t move too fast forward/but I can’t stop, won’t stop, hoe, can’t afford it/get money, true, but your family’s more important/self care’ll get you through, you only lose when you forfeit/huh, who’s who when the poor’s pit against the poor/we need a revolution since they always threaten war/another horror story turnt true crime for us to stream/merrily along, hummin’ in tune to all the screams/no need to be alarmed, it’s just a part of the program/I wonder who wrote it and is next season planned/I mean if life’s just a journey, what we doin’ when we land?/and when we stoppin’ to eat? I need some drinks in hand, man Outchea writin’ in the rain, tryin’ not to get thunderstruck/sittin’ with a cup and a blunt, lookin’ up/to the sky, hopin’ the words fall just right/cover the page and show me something divine, divine Show me somethin’ divine Hope the words fall right and show me somethin’ divine, divine Show me somethin’ divine Hope the words fall just right, right? If there’s a grand design, mane I’m tryna sketch it/capture the essence so I can my fellow skeptics/I heard it’s beauty can’t held by the eye/but I’ma try or find a better rep to present its vibe/and hope they buy it, maybe bump it in their rides/if it’s thumpin’, ya know, somethin’ undiscovered by sight/if I could touch it, that’d be nice, what’s it like? What’s the price?/I ain’t got much, but run me them dice/a couple slices of righteous pieces of life with no stress on the side’s/a nice meal to begin with, but supersize/it’s gotta be worth more than that offer they’re pushin’/they must be runnin’ a jugg, they gon’ be mad when it’s tooken/I mean it was probably free, it shouldn’t cost a thing/but we taught to never hate the hustle, give the victim blame/it ain’t your fault if you fall, but you a lame if you stay/maybe there’s no design at all but who am I to say Outchea writin’ in the rain, tryin’ not to get thunderstruck/sittin’ with a cup and a blunt, lookin’ up/to the sky, hopin’ the words fall just right/cover the page and show me something divine, divine Show me somethin’ divine Hope the words fall right and show me somethin’ divine, divine Show me somethin’ divine Hope the words fall just right, right?

1st Law 04:23
What if home ain’t home? Done been away so long/don’t even know what type of time they’re on, ain’t chargin’ their phones/can’t even call it if you ask me, no dial on that tone/so if you’re really tryna catch up it’s gon’ be quite a roam/mane, even Caesar couldn’t see the plots and schemes on the throne/the queen and ya homies’ll check ya, nike sneaks to your dome/roll on ya and leave you crippled, trust ain’t even the issue/matter fact if I’m really being honest, that’s what’ll get you/attention don’t cost much, but’ll save you a whole lot/better leave your feeling where they’re at before you spin the whole block/for the wrong reasons, resentin’ ya misdealings and grievin’/the fumbled bags and the seasons that’ve passed you without speakin’/no chances to get even, the end game ain’t sweet/and the revolution ain’t on TV, try again next week/when they sell it cheap and tell you that’s what’s hot in the streets/like them bridges ain’t been burnin’ for years with no relief/no reprieve, this life sentence day for day to the door/not impossible to get through it/it’s just gon’ be a long road/a couple broken soles, and some thirst traps, corns on your toes/you might need you a rider to be prepared for the show/green skittles only, better not be no grape in the bowl/that’s just gon’ get thrown like a lean cup, get right or get floored/but I’m laid off the drink for a little bit, enlightenment’s the goal/ain’t reached it yet but the effort’s there, I’m just hopin’ I’m close..and it goes A million burdens on my shoulders but the journey ain’t done/even when the road ends, I’ll still walk on the sun/sticks in the river while I’m swimmin’ ain’t slowin’ me none/not sure where I’m headed, but I know where I’m from/so, when my story’s told, I hope I’m close/or at least on the right path, but who knows?/been a long ride and I’m tired with low tread/but fuck it I’ma push ahead/yeah cuz life goes on I’m just a rollin’ stone in search of greener pastures/tryna get past the wanderlust, and settle here/after all the dust clears, but you know I ain’t breakin’ my stride/I’m good as long as I got bass in the ride/not really suited for ties, but I keep the wheels squealin’, my girl on my side/till death do us part, even then we still Bonnie and Clyde/no crime though, and we ain’t dyin’ soon, lord willing/but for the thrill I’ve been known to push the whip to the limit/got so much charged to the game, it’s a shame/but still credit my name as the dopest, sho gon’ hold up to the flame/in any weather, I never broke under strain/and pressure’s never been a thing that could ever get me outta my frame/ain’t no picture perfect, but you might see one you find worth the purchase/if you’re searchin’, keep an open mind, and look past the surface/even the scratches signify the amount of work put in/if you’re hurtin’ that’s where the profit begins.. A million burdens on my shoulders but the journey ain’t done/even when the road ends, I’ll still walk on the sun/sticks in the river while I’m swimmin’ ain’t slowin’ me none/not sure where I’m headed, but I know where I’m from/so, when my story’s told, I hope I’m close/or at least on the right path, but who knows?/been a long ride and I’m tired with low tread/but fuck it I’ma push ahead/yeah cuz life goes on A million burdens on my shoulders but the journey ain’t done/even when the road ends, I’ll still walk on the sun/sticks in the river while I’m swimmin’ ain’t slowin’ me none/not sure where I’m headed, but I know where I’m from/so, when my story’s told, I hope I’m close/or at least on the right path, but who knows?/been a long ride and I’m tired with low tread/but fuck it I’ma push ahead/yeah cuz life goes on
9.
These rhymes are therapy/whole album written just to bare the me you barely see/strong friend, rarely anybody there for me and hell if I let em/rather stand on my own, plus these shoes were made for steppin’/born wild but mellowed out as time went though progression/no magic carpet rides here, shit, a nigga been stressin’/tested and tryna make the best, utilize all my blessings/standin’ 10 toes and 4 arms, survivin’ the lessons/some needed, others was extra which sho kept me from flexin’/but still got the 12s in the trunk, you lookin’ for pressure/none of my efforts ever wasted, off the strength though/took plenty Ls, had to flip those, you know how it goes/and still got some on me, ay I guess I ain’t pitch it right/but life was throwin’ curveballs, hittin’ my lips sometimes/and I ain’t quick to dodge, had to take it all/so ain’t no issue hard to face, even if I take a fall It’s hard to say what I want sometimes/hard to pray, hard enough to stay afloat sometimes/hard to keep the pace, but you know I won’t slow down/but for now, no losin’ hope, just smile Cuz I be givin’ all I got sometimes/always on a mission, deep in thought, can’t stop the grind/I ain’t losin’ faith, just ventin’ till the smoke runs out/so for now, no losin’ hope just smile So, whats the difference between a grin and a grimace?/whether I bare on or arms it’s all just for a sentence/if it’s written, maybe I’ll find a couple ears that’ll listen/before I’m riffin’ like Jim Morr, and the doors I get to kickin’/spinnin’ out ain’t an option, beside myself for the record/like the cover of my 2nd album. But this another level/tryna find the grand design in my flaws/practice perfecting the climb from all the times that I’d fall/so if November hits and I’m still gone, just know I’m workin’ strong/tryna find some deeper meaning to this path that I’m on/can barely even see the surface, couldn’t fathom the form/needed to go the distance, sprintin’, I ain’t laggin’ no more/just know the passion is raw/so don’t even ask him to talk if ain’t no action involved/and pardon me as I’m passin’, mane I go places to go/I ain’t in a rush, you just movin’ too slow It’s hard to say what I want sometimes/hard to pray, hard enough to stay afloat sometimes/hard to keep the pace, but you know I won’t slow down/but for now, no losin’ hope, just smile Cuz I be givin’ all I got sometimes/always on a mission, deep in thought, can’t stop the grind/I ain’t losin’ faith, just ventin’ till the smoke runs out/so for now, no losin’ hope just smile
10.
Enlightenment ain’t a state of being, or knowing. It’s an ideal we should always strive for. Never stop growing. If I could take it back to the beginning/I wouldn’t skip the journey, might step a little bit differently/but was molded by the moves I made from here to infinity/so any stubbed toe was just a catalyst for energy/whether I’m at peace or fightin’ my inner me/I’m mindful of the task at hand, plottin’ where I’m finna be/every day above ground is a win, might not always get the decision but I’m swingin’ to the end/like it don’t mean a thing, doo-wop doo-wop doo-wop/done gained strength through every bit of the pain and ain’t got dropped, yet/if I did, it’s just a part of the flow/you know who it goes, so on and so forth/fifth and sixth and more, more you know I’m good for a hit/these bruises and scars tell what I couldn’t write with the pen/but y’all don’t hear me though even with this mic in my hand/if I said it louder, they’d tell me turn it down in Japan/meditation helped me get where I am/but I ain’t stayin’ stagnant, waitin’ on a spaceship to land/I’d rather blast off on my own if I gotta jam/pocket full of rhythms feelin’ like the man/any design you recognize is divine yanam sayin’ it’s the search that makes it grand. And it goes.
